For the poet Roberto Manzano, the poetry of Francisco de Oraá is one of the most important contributions of the Generation of 50. His psychological depth, his symbolic richness, and enormous imaginative capacity impregnate his verses with a communicative unfathomable mystery. To read this poetry is to penetrate a cosmos of high artistic quality and great human depth. The new generations of Cuban poets have expressed in many ways the admiration and sympathy for the lyrical work of this author.
