On the verge of his twenty years, René is sent by his father to a peculiar school where, instead of growing the spirit, he is trained in the punishment of the flesh. The brutal learning given there, close to the ordeal, will culminate with a grotesque initiation rite from which René escapes. Since this moment, in a society who engine is meat, both as a source of pleasure and pain, René’s life becomes a constant flight, either from the legacy of his father and the followers of «martyrdom», or the sensuality of Mrs. Pérez and her strange friends, Powlavski y Nieburg.
