GRANADO ROMERO
Córdoba, Argentina, 1922 - Córdoba, Argentina, 2011
Genre: Social sciences
In Alberto Granado’s youthful ideology, the trip was a recurring motive. The young Ernesto Guevara would help to concretize with his enthusiasm that journey that they undertook one day in December 1951, when they left Córdoba in Poderosa II. Walking, they felt the beauty and poverty of South America. And friendship also grew: that is why in these notes we find, at every step, admiration, affection and respect for Alberto towards his esteemed companion. But what does Ernesto say about his friend? “Despite Calica’s enthusiasm for this place [...] I always miss Alberto’s company. Our identity of characters that complemented each other so well is more evident in Machu Picchu.”
