He wrote about 200 comedies and 300 musical works: sones, guarachas, boleros, guajiras, children’s music, dozens and dozens of compositions of deep Cuban roots emerged from his fertile inspiration. Among his works stand out: The right to be born, the first radio novel, which gave way to the genre of soap operas. In addition, among others, the radio novels: The price of a life, The thief of Baghdad, Worse than the snakes, Angels of the street, Poor Youth and The Mother of all.
This work reached international resonance in films and radio versions and was of such an impact that for it came to inspect sessions of the Congress of the Republic and change the schedule of churches. It was the case that many cinemas and theaters, for the public to attend the functions, at the time of the beginning of the novel, cut the film production while it was radiating. If they did not do it in this way the attendance of the public was very scarce. The vast majority of the characters in the novel had penetrated the soul of the radio listeners.
