Writer and journalist. She has spent much of the last years investigating and deepening in the life of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz. She is the author of the books: After the incredible (1993), All the time of the cedars, family landscape of Fidel Castro Ruz (2003/2009/2006/2008), Angel, the Galician root of Fidel (2008), Fidel Castro Ruz Guerrilla of Time. Conversations with the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution (2011/2012), Dreamed city (2012), and From my Havana. Phonographs, violets, artists and poets (2013). She is also co-author of the books: Voices of the Miracle (2004) and Children of the Miracle (2004). In 2002 she won the National Prize of Journalism 26 de Julio. Her chronicles and articles are replicated by newspapers and magazines around the world, her works have been presented in different countries and translated into Chinese, Russian, French and Portuguese.

In this book, Fidel, based on the author’s questions, tells his story. In the prologue to this volume, the author states: “The reader will have the opportunity to travel with Fidel the way of his days, enjoy the naturalness and transparency with which he is basting the facts, points of view, images and feelings of memory; on a journey from the house and the beings of the past, to the sleeplessness, hardships, hopes and auguries of the days that are running”.
