Translator and poet, with a vast narrative work that includes texts for children and young people. He was chief editor of the magazine Conjunto (1964). He leads radio programs. He collaborated in several publications such as Prensa Libre, El Corno Emplumado, La Gaceta de Cuba, Unión, Casa de las Américas, Bohemia, and El Giornale dei Poeti (Rome). Several poems of his have been translated into English, Bulgarian, French and Italian. He translated poems from French, Italian and English. Along with Eliseo Diego made versions of works by Sándor Petöfi (1973). Among his titles for children stand out: Wheel of the round (1984), The tongue twister (1993), Illogical zoo (2000) and Love is a playful boy (2002).

From pentagons to concentric circles, children will discover shapes in the world that surrounds them and how to call each one, through an intelligent and fun language.
