Journalist, narrator and essayist. National Prize of Literature in 2004. In his works he interested for the communities of immigrants and minorities in Cuba. He collaborated with important cultural magazines in the country. Received twice the Casa de las Américas award and won in 2001 the Alejo Carpentier prize.
