Heir to what we might call the “philosophical eroticism” of the Marquis of Sade, George Bataille or José Lezama Lima, the author of this book has achieved one of the most seductive pieces of this current of Cuban narrative. An arduous work with the language rooted in the very origins of existence has resulted in a bold and at the same time very cultured volume where each story is in itself a show of rigor and narrative skill. Lyricism and rawness combine to give themselves to the reader in a magnetic, deep and effective harmony. Seven stories that place its creator among the best Cuban erotic narrators.
